BELLA PAN Bella Pan was born in 2013 in Richmond, BC. She started learning to play guitar from her dad when she was six. At age ten, she began learning to sing by following YouTube courses and quickly realized that while playing guitar is cool and fun, singing is where her true passion lies. In December 2023, she wrote her first original song called “Winter Cold.” Bella’s dad was very surprised by how well-structured the song was and encouraged her to write more. After several more well-structured original songs, Bella's natural talent in songwriting began to be recognized by her Dad. He started taking Bella out to the street to busk and signed her up for the all-age weekly open mic at the legendary venue initiated by Carly Rae Jepsen when she was a barista at Trees Organic Coffee on Granville. The host of the venue, Marq Desouza, a veteran musician in the Vancouver music scene, was ‘blown away’ by how good Bella was after seeing her first open mic performance and immediately extended an invitation for her to perform a full show at the venue’s well-known Live Music Nights. She has been performing at Trees Coffee regularly ever since.
